Oh gosh what do I put here
I’ve been a measured enjoyer of the Vivaldi browser for some time now, and have been slowly slipping more into its clutches of nice little features. Among them is the integrated RSS feed reader/manager, which I’ve been learning to make good use of. In an attempt to keep things more focused, I learned that YouTube is capable of providing channels as RSS feeds. With the integrated reader, it’s easy to get a pure representation of just the video, title, and description as it were – nothing else getting in the way.
Unfortunately YouTube really likes to hide this feature. At the individual channel level, I had to dig through the page’s source for the correct link. As it’s obviously not practical to do this for a whole account’s worth of subs, I managed to find a neat tool for just this job! This produces an OPML file, which Vivaldi readily takes. I found a couple pitfalls in the program itself, but can’t quite be assed to work out a PR just yet. Vivaldi has also proved… imperfect in its reader – bulk Mark As Read and bulk Delete simply do not work? Bit of a pain if your import/export process is not quite correct.

Started the site proper this weekend. Killed my lunch break setting up the git server, just git://mcshandy.xyz for now. Going to slowly push select repos up and hopefully have a tie-in blog/devlog for each one. Would also be nice to have a bare minimum repo explorer.
